Heritage education and learning: Cases from the North Catalonia

Heritage education and learning: Cases from the North Catalonia Annotation: My thesis deals with the options of the cultural and historical education in France, in particular in the North Catalonia. The work represents the relation between regional monuments and schools.In the first part, I define the term cultural heritage as such, than I focus on two cultural resorts in the North Catalonia.The second part of the thesis illustrates the connection between the monuments and schools in France, emphasizing the project teaching. The patrimony, being not studied today as a separate subject, remains an important part of one's education. However, the knowledge acquisition offers a large variety of teaching styles. Lastly, my work shows the educational services with concrete realisations of the projects in cooperation with schools. Selected regional monuments of the area North of Plzeň in primary school

The thesis "Selected regional monuments of the area North of Plzeň in primary school" presents concepts of primary schooling combined with an education in selected regional monuments of Northern Plzeň Region. The theoretical part discusses an approach to the regionalistic topics in the educational area "Humans and their world", cross-sectional topics, and key competences that may be developed using the selected educational topic. The thesis continues with an analysis of suitable educational methods connected with an extracurricular pedagogy. This part subsequently discusses an approach to historical monuments as a cultural and historical heritage constituting a legacy that should not be forgotten. The natural environment and cultural-historical evolution of Northern Plzeň Region is discussed next, with a focus on selected cultural monuments and connected topics. Theoretical conclusions on selected monuments are subsequently used as a basis for the excursion proposals detailed in the practical part. The practical part of the thesis presents tuition concept proposals utilizing these places of interest, homeland excursion plans, and activities connected with education in cultural heritage. Supporting children's interest in the history of their region in educational programs of The Hussite Museum of Tábor

This bachelor thesis examines the role of museum education in developing positive relationship of children and youth towards history of the region, in which they live and the history in general. Selected activities of the Hussite Museum of Tábor are described while considering their respective impact on children's interest in history of their region and on cultivating their understanding of cultural heritage. The introduction defines the term "cultural heritage" and considers the educational potential of museums and galleries. The following part assesses current state of museum education in the Hussite Museum. The third part describes individual programs of the Hussite museum, focusing on those educational goals, methods and contents which support the participants of these programs in developing their interest in the history of the region.
Chain execution as a means of education to relate to the cultural and historical heritage

The subject of the diploma work thesis is the issue of museum education in an authentic environment, namely a possible way of using the technique of chain guidance in the mediation of the cultural and historical heritage of a certain place to the wider public. The aim of the thesis is to define in the theoretical part the concept of chain guidance in the context of education in relation to cultural heritage and museum education. Practical part contains characteristics and analysis of examples of practical realizations of chain guidence in four historical objects and the autor´s own creative project of chain guidence at the Zdenka Braunerova Studio, which was prepared and implemented in cooperation with the museum and the elementary school. The practical part also includes a proposal for a possible starting point for further cooperation between the Central Bohemian Museum and the Primary school in Roztoky.
Educational project for village Březina in the microregion Radnice near Rokycany

The bachelor thesis deals with introdution of monuments in Březina village in microregion Radnicko near Rokycany and their promotion trough the workbook dedicated to older school age children Theoretical part deals with the noble family Sternberg and a Kašpar Maria earl Sternberg important personality of this aristocratic family. In the next part there are described individual monuments of this area and next part is dedicated to museum as an institution focused on propagation of cultural and historical heritage of the nation. In the next part of the theoretical essay there is described the workbook as a functional instrument of museum's education. Than there is the older school age specified as a target group for project part of the thesis. The project part is devoted to creation of the workbook and his consecutive analysis.
St. Agnes Monastery as a monument of art and history

The work deals with St. Agnes Convent as a cultural and historical monument and possibilities of using a cultural and historical landmark, specifically St. Agnes Convent, in classes of Citizenship. It aims at exploring cultural and historical benefits of this convent from the view of its functions in the past and present, at making use of these findings to judge the importance of these functions for landmark value and preservation of the convent and finally at considering suitability of this monument for Citizenship at Stage 2 of basic schools, including proposals of specific activities. The author discusses the importance of teaching relation to cultural and historical heritage, to monuments and their conservation and also possibilities of its development owing to Citizenship and educational conception of the Czech Republic and related documents (especially "RVP" [Framework Educational Programmes for Basic Education] and "ŠVP" [School Educational Programmes]). The Jesuit College in Český Krumlov Options for educational use of regional monument in the classroom and in leisure time

The aim of my thesis is to prepare a creative project in cooperation of primary schools and Gymnasium in Český Krumlov with the National Heritage Institute in České Budějovice. In the project I am going to outline the great educational potential which that discipline may offer to schools. I am going to introduce the educational possibilities of using one monument within the city of Český Krumlov. I am going to link my experience and knowledge with the experience and knowledge of teachers (lecturers who teach history). I am going to proceed from the literature of pedagogy and monument care, regional history, the curriculum, the research and the results of which are published on the website. The project is going to be focused on complementing and diversification of the curriculum, which is discussed in schools and it/the project will contribute not only to the effective presentation of heritage values, but also to the development of education, creativity, and value orientation of the target groups in favour of the voluntary and sustainable care of the cultural heritage.
